Grilled Cheese Sandwich for Dinner Tonight

The Lady made Grilled Cheese sandwiches for dinner tonight. This is the first time she has made Grilled Cheese since she went on her diet last April (she’s lost 53 pounds…she’s wasting away…).
She used Dave’s Killer Bread (“Blues”) and a combination of three cheeses: Somerdale‘s Red Dragon, Dutch Parrano and Tillamook’s Special Vintage Cheddar. She used EVOO rather than butter.
Needless to say, it was yummy and creamy.
Red Dragon is a blended Welsh cheddar with wholegrain mustard seeds and Welsh ale. The name comes from the Dragon symbol on the Welsh Flag. Somerdale makes several fine cheeses.
I have reviewed Dutch Parrano here in my Aged Gouda post. Even though it is not quite as yummy as Rembrandt, it is very good.
And even though The Lady does not sell Tillamook at the Cheese Kiosk, a well-respected farmer-owned cooperative in Oregon, she loves their vintage cheddar – aged more than two years.
I give The Lady’s Grilled Cheese 3 out of 4 Paws (cause that’s all I’ve got). Had she made me my very own grilled cheese sandwich, I might have given it 4 Paws…humankind just don’t get it, do they?
