At cheesemonger.wordpress.com, we reached 100,000 unique hits today and in the past 2 and ½ years we have reviewed more than 750 cheeses (that’s a lot of cheese love…). We have written more than 450 posts about cheese and created 30 pages of additional cheesy information and our never ending passion for all things cheese.
The Lady and your favorite Feline Foodie were honored to be recognized for simply writing about what we love when Culinary Arts College named our weblog one of the “50 Best Cheese Blogs on the Internet” and Cheeseball.org selected us for their “Top 60 Cheese Blogs”.
In addition to spell-checking my writings about cheese, The Lady visited Wisconsin in May and toured BelGioioso, Sartori, Salemville and Roth-Kase Cheese Facilities courtesy of DPI and the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board. She also attended her first Cheese Trade Show in Madison and had dinner at Lambeau Field in Green Bay.
In August The Lady, The Man and I headed north for The Lady to attend the American Cheese Society’s 2010 Cheese-a-topia and Festival of Cheese in Seattle. The Lady hung with all the Cheese Swells while I hung with The Man and reported from a Cheese Bunker somewhere in the Seattle Suburbs. I’d like to suggest that the ACS be more selective in the future when choosing hotels for their conferences. Why??? Well, the Seattle “No Pets” Sheraton prevented me from attending the festivities and that was just plain wrong.
Thanks to all our loyal readers and stay tuned… The Lady and I have lots of new cheese adventures planned for 2011!!
2010 was a great year and best wishes to all in 2011 from The Lady and your favorite Feline Foodie, Spaulding Gray!!
