For those of you who like a vodka martini with your grilled cheese… food trends for 2012 have taken out the middle man and combined the two into one… grilled cheese-infused vodka… according to my cheese buddy and owner of Beecher’s Handmade Cheese, you take ten bottles of vodka and six grilled cheese sandwiches. Put them together in a plastic container and let the mixture sit overnight… ta da… I adore you Kurt, but I sure would like to know who thought this up in the first place… probably a descendant of the first humankind to try to eat an artichoke… going where no humankind has gone before…
Other trends for 2012 will include:
- Custom-cut and custom-order french fries
- Waffles for dinner; breakfast food will invade dinner menus. Hey, nothing new around the manse. The Lady and The Man love scrambled eggs for dinner…
- Hand-pulled noodles made by the chef while you dine
- Peppers; specialty peppers will be the rage
- Grilled Cheese will replace the hamburger as the “go-to” comfort food in 2012… about time…
Only 3 Days to the announcement of the 2011 Feline Foodie Awards… sure to be a few surprises…
