Portland: Get Ready to Rumble… Murray’s Cheese Is Opening Its Second Cheese Shop

Last month, Murray’s Cheese began its expansion into the Portland, Oregon market, opening its first shop in the Burlingame Fred Meyer. July 15th, their second cheese shop will open at the Hawthorne Fred Meyer located at the corner of Caesar Chavez (39th) and Hawthorne Boulevard in Southeast Portland.
Spreading the curd… Murray’s brings their “Cheese Theater” into Kroger Stores and its affiliates nationwide featuring superior customer service and superior specialty cheeses at competitive prices.
What can you sample in a Murray’s Cheese Shop? Any item they sell: cheese, jams, honeys, olives, salsa… seriously, you can sample any item they sell and they’ll even serve it on a specialty cracker… it just doesn’t get any better than that!!!
The Lady and her cheese friends, Doug and Jennae, are transforming the current cheese kiosk into a Murray’s Shop with the crew of Murray’s cheesemongers led by Cheese Master Thomas.
If you are in the neighborhood, stop in on Sunday, July 15th for cheese samples, including a demo with local Award-Winning Rogue Creamery… and there will be cake… and deals: Parmigiano/Reggiano will be $13.99 a pound; Cave-Aged Gruyere will be $12.99 a pound; Maple Leaf Red Wax Gouda for an amazing $4.99 a pound and local Beecher’s Flagship will be $9.99 a pound. There will be BOGO specials on Crave Brothers Mozzarella and Beecher’s Signature Crackers… These specials will run for the first two weeks with Beecher’s Flagship on sale for the first four weeks… holy smokes!!!
