Last night she decided to go another route when she made this ultimate comfort food.
Here’s what she did:
4 Cups of Uncooked Elbow Macaroni
1/2 Pound Black Diamond Extra Aged Cheddar, Shredded
1/2 Pound BelGioioso Fontina, Shredded
2 Cups Milk
1 Cup Heavy Cream
2 Cups Panko
1/2 Stick Butter
Salt and Pepper to taste
Using a baking dish, rub the sides with butter.
Cook the elbow macaroni; drain and pour into baking dish.
Mix the two cheeses together.and sprinkle over the macaroni.
Sprinkle a little salt and pepper over the cheese.
Mix milk and heavy cream together and pour over cheese and macaroni.
Melt half stick of butter and pour over the panko. Mix to wet all the panko. Sprinkle butter and panko mixture over the mac and cheese.
Bake in a 350 degree oven for 45 minutes until the panko is golden brown.
