In 2011 at Bra Slow Food Cheese aka “Cheese”, I made a total fool of myself when I met Mary Quicke, a true Queen of English Cheese. I met her in the lobby of the hotel where everyone from the US was staying… I didn’t care… I met Mary Quicke… here’s the proof…

Mary Quicke makes great cheddars. Here are the facts:

Cows: Kiwi Friesan, Swedish Red, Montbeliarde and Jersey mix to provide perfect milk for making cheese full of rich, creamy milk solids. Learn more about the farm and its farming philosophy:

Cheeses: Traditional English Cheddars (both raw and pasteurized; most vegetarian suitable), Oak Smoked, Double Devonshire Cheese, Devonshire Red, Goat Cheddar, Quicke’s Ewe Cheese – all clothbound plus butters. More information on each:
