Wensleydale with Lemon and Honey by Somerdale Creamery

There are two kinds of cheese lovers: those who like cheese with other foods and flavors added and those who don’t. Some cheese snobs go so far as to refuse to taste cheese with added flavors and foods. I fall on the side of liking cheese with “certain” flavors and foods added. My one flavor added that I do NOT enjoy is smoke. I have never found a smoked cheese that I truly like. If I was on a deserted island and only had smoked cheese, I would eat it but I would yearn for a wedge of good ole cheddar.

However, I recognize that cheeses with added flavors are popular and as a cheesemonger who wants to satisfy my customers needs and likes, I always carry cheeses in this category and they sell well.

In addition to the popularity of smoked cheese, people enjoy cheese with fruit added and England’s Somerdale Creamery has mastered this category using their crumbling Wensleydale as the base. I have reviewed the variations of Somerdale Wensleydale with fruit and was pleased to find this new (to me) version recently at Costco: Wensleydale with Lemon and Honey. This version came in a one pound cylinder coated in thick yellow wax.

The taste is subtle, tangy from the lemon and sweet from the honey. I sliced it for this Luxe Cheese Box. I also saved one for The Man and me and crumbled it on a salad which caused The Man to swoon. I also served it on Dewey’s Meyer Lemon Cookie Thins.

Wensleydale with Cranberries is available at my Amazon Influencer Storefront.

My friend and Cheese Colleague, Babs Hogan aka The Healthy Cheese Lady has created her first “Cheesy” T-Shirt in a new line of clothing. The T-Shirt is only $20 and you can order it here. I will have a Q&A with Babs later this week for her launch. Everyone needs this T-Shirt because it’s true: “Cheese Makes Me Happy”.

The Man’s third nonfiction book is available in my on amazon influencer storeIdentifying Real Time Travelers. In his own words: Identifying Real Time Travelers is not a novel. It is a nonfiction study of our history to prove Time Manipulators exist for reasons of their own and are, even now, affecting our Past, Present and Future. If Time Manipulation has been invented either in our past or our future, then because of the inventor’s new ability, through time, time travel will have always existed on Earth. This book seeks to answer these questions: Can time travel exist and if so how and why have the Time Manipulators chosen to affect us?”

It’s a fascinating read and you can buy it for your Kindle, Fire tablet or free Kindle reader for only $3.99. Of course, we hope you’ll buy it, enjoy it and leave a 5-star review on amazon.

In addition to Identifying Real Time Travelers, The Man has two other non-fiction book: Coroner’s Cold Case 81128: Marilyn Monroe and The JFK Conspiracies. Both available for purchase or you can borrow them through the amazon kindle unlimited library. His action adventure, Gold Fever is also available.

We created an “Author’s Page” on amazon and hope you will “Follow”.
