We continue our campaign to help Cheesemonger and friend, Sean Riley.
Since last week’s posting, more bad news.
Now Powerback, the Skilled Nursing Facility where Sean is currently hospitalized, has served Sean with a “30 Days to Vacate” EVICTION notice unless he pays the north of $20K due for March services. How can any “healthcare” facility be so callous?
In speaking with Sean and Katie over the last year, I have learned that our healthcare system is beyond broken, filled with people who have become numb to the needs, pains and suffering of those they profess to be helping.
It all began with Anthem, Inc. his insurance provider for 13 years, through Kroger, his employer for 13 years. Six months after Sean’s catastrophic cardiac arrest in November 2016, which led to his brain damage and subsequent health crisis, Anthem unceremoniously dropped his insurance AND KROGER REFUSED TO INTERCEDE AND HELP THEIR LOYAL EMPLOYEE. SHAME. ON. ANTHEM. SHAME. ON. KROGER. Katie secured insurance coverage through Kaiser Permanente in May 2017 and on 3/2/2017, they terminated coverage. SHAME. ON. KAISER PERMANENTE.
And now to add insult to injury, Powerback is piling the pain and suffering on with an EVICTION NOTICE. SHAME. ON. POWERBACK.
