To my local friends in Lavonia, Canon, Royston, Hartwell, Carnesville, Toccoa and Upstate SC, if you’re looking for specialty cheeses for your “Last-Grasp” of summer on the lake or bar-b-queing in the back yard, I have several available for purchase and immediate pick-up here in Lavonia:

Comte AOC – the number 1 selling AOC-protected cheese in France. A true Alpine-style cheese that’s perfect on every cheese board and with your favorite gratin dishes.

Cabot Clothbound Cheddar – the iconic Vermont cheddar made by the good folks at Cabot Cooperative and aged at the Cellars of Jasper Hill.

Cabot 3-year Reserve Cheddar – a full-flavored robust cheddar for your burgers or mac n cheese.

Ford’s Coastal Mature Cheddar – Made in the tradition manner in the Somerset region of England. Another great snacking cheese that sure to impress your guests.

Aged Dutch Gouda – amazing six-month aged gouda; perfect for snacking.

Comte

Parmigiano Reggiano DOP – the King of Cheese from Italy.

Pecorino Romano DOP – perfect sheep milk alternative to Parmigiano Reggiano. Also produced in Italy.

Organic Greek Feta DOP – a combination of sheep and goat milk packed in a salt brine. Marinate it in EVOO with lemon juice and basil or crumble it on a salad.

Jarlsberg – An alpine-style cheese made in Norway. I mix it with cheddar for my cheese sauces.

Fresh French Chevre – crumble on salads or spread on your favorite toasted  breakfast bagel.

Manchego DOP – The iconic Spanish sheep milk cheese written about by Cervantes’ Don Quixote. This mellow version is aged six months.

P’tit Basque  – The “little sister” of France’s Ossau Iraty. This cheese comes in a small 1 and 1/2 pound wheel and at room temperature, melts on your palate.

Wisconsin Blue – Perfect with honey, chocolate and a nice glass of Port.

Bonat Parmigiano Reggiano

Limited time only: Sartori’s Raspberry BellaVitano – A cheese made using cultures of both parmesan and cheddar and then soaked in a raspberry ale… your guests will be begging for more.
